Annual Elementary Track Meet....June! Bijou Community School 3rd, 4th and 5th graders compete at STMS against all other elementary schools in the area!!!!!!!  
 TAP Assemblies
TAP, also known as Tahoe Arts Project, is a non-profit group that brings a multitude of arts to our community and our schools. TAP generally holds at least 5 assemblies a year at Bijou to expose the students to different forms of art.
 Snowman Making Day 
A great weekend activity! Bring your family and create a snowman, snowanimal, snow-anything in front of our school. Provided for great decoration Monday morning!
 Walk-A-Thon 
Every September, Bijou holds its biggest fundraiser, the Walk-A-Thon. A great day in the sun, with music, treats, and budding friendships. Bikes, scooters, and other great prizes for students who walk the farthest, raise the most money, and try the hardest! There's something for everyone!
 PTA FAMILY BOOK NIGHT  Our PTA sponsors a storytime and popcorn evening for all students and families. Different "professionals" reading stories to small groups of children, all who happily munch on popcorn for the hour. We hope everyone can join us for our next storytime hour (details to follow). We plan to have 3-4 next year!  firefighter & ballerina reading 
 Fire Safety Days
Every year, the local firefighters bring their trucks and their tools to Bijou School. Students get to experience fire safety first hand...firefighters give demos, let students practice, and help students learn how to be safe!
 Chalk 4 Peace :
In September, the entire school helps out to put out chalk messages of peace & happiness!
 HOLIDAY Faire 
In December, Bijou holds its annual Holiday Faire where Bijou families are invited to a day of crafts, music, and holiday treats. A day full of fun for the whole family!
HAPPY  HALLOWEEN  What fun!!!! 
Halloween is a great day...lots of creative costumes on the parts of both the students and the staff!
